'Yaoi' relationships in The Cavaliers

(For those who find boy love relationships uncomfortable, you don't have to see the sketches. =))

I discovered that i haven't been reading much yaoi stuffs as before. Like, it's passing me by. Not as obsessed as before anyway. Is it because i'm getting old? LOL!

That doesn't mean I'm stopping though. Well, maybe not now anyway. The latest victims of my crazy imagination are The Cavaliers. Yup, those 5 young boys who inherit the power of the Gods. No kidding. Whoever would have thought that they are actually head over heels with one another?

The first pairing i did was Julian and Jordan. I've been drawing this couple since a few years back. I remembered Allyn did a fan art about it. Basically it's kind of a love-hate relationship. Julian being the uke and Jordan being the seme. I had fun with these two. I already have ideas for a yaoi doujinshi of these two buggers. Bwaahahaha!

Second pairing would fall on Blaze and Jason. I seem to be drawn to this couple. First of all, Jason has this uke-ish traits. He's pretty, tall, shy, polite, considerate (way opposite of his brother Jordan). What more can you ask for? Oh. And gentle too. Enter Blaze. Brave, persistent, confident, protective, leader, handsome. Put them together and what do you get? Perfect couple!

Like any other relationships, there will always be obstacles along the journey. But they still stick on together like velcro.

I was doodling out ideas for WTF #1, when i kept staring at my artwork on the SPA calender i got yesterday (thanx uncle Jim!). I was so proud of it that i just doodled out Adriel Astin (c) and Jason Dorwille (c) being so happy. :) Also tried doodling using the wacom tablet but i'm still not very good at mastering it. Hahaha. :p

The dark and the bright (random sketch)

I have been meaning to do this for a long time. It's a yaoi idea between Julian and Jordan from the Cavaliers. Well, yaoi is actually boy's love term, it's popular in Japan and it's catching up pretty fast all over the world. Close example? Check out Brokeback Mountain and you will know what i mean. The thing is, i figured I'll just join in the fun and see what i can do with these two opposite attracts character. Julian is a high spirited, jovial, happy-go-lucky person. Always laughing and giggling, more like a 9 year old kid who doesn't have a care in the world. Enter Jordan. Always brooding, never smiles, very short-tempered, likes to pick up a fight, aggressive, and even rumoured to be a demon who will destory all humanity. Both of them hate each other's guts, but occasionally they hang out like good friends should. But do they have something that they don't even know, but it's there? Now that is a mystery indeed. *nods*

The boys are back!

Yeah it's kind of very late. Cavaliers #2 should be released like.. since last year. But I'm moving on. Although a little late, but I'm moving on bebeh! In Cavs #2, the origin of how they became 'the Gods' bodies' were told. So, wait for it! ^_^

Photoshop hiatus

Funny that i can't seem to find my photoshop and illustrator cs3 cd. I know i've put it somewhere. I hate it when i misplaced things! Baka! LOL XD

Comic Fiesta is coming soon. On the 20-21st December. I'm working on Cavaliers #2. Yesterday I've discovered my very early version (not really THAT early) of Cavaliers and it's about how they met and how the Cavaliers came about. Very very different from the idea i have now. In fact, it's so different that i have forgotten how i actually start thinking about it in the first place. But as i read through the 46 pages of comic that did, i felt very nostalgic about it. Something deep within me moved and i smiled the whole night. I realized this Cavaliers project has been in my blood ever since, and i certainly can't be parted with it. They're like my family. My sons. I need to look after their well-being and i need to protect them from any harm. Yeah it sounds kind of corny, but i really love them. After all, i created them. LOL XD!

I started listening to Vanessa Mae's Contradanza. I haven't heard the song for awhile. This particular song inspired me to draw the robust energetic attitude of the Cavaliers and their distinguishable passion for adventure. Every rhythm, every harmony, every notes, has a drama and story unfolding within it. I was very much excited to relate the group with this music. It's so much fun and there's abundance of freedom in the music. It's almost as if it's portraying the every essence of being youths, teenagers, children. It's the freedom of life itself. Wow it's giving me goosebumps!



I'm going to try my hands on drawing Nova Kane, E-man's partner and maybe girlfriend i suppose.




But i need to get me a photoshop and illustrator first. :)

The idea is pretty lame. I'm happy i developed it into something entirely different now. XD And no, Jule's body is not as beefed up as in the above comic.

Gotta get photoshop after lunch. In the meantime I'll work on the latest Cavaliers #2. I think i'm going to be very happy getting back on track again. :)
